Beautiful purple flowers approximately 2.5-3 inches. The leaves are ornate, trilobed, and appear to be silky with hairs including on the flower buds. It usually blooms in Spring and then again in Fall. It does not like hot weather or direct Sun. It is caudex forming and grows a big tuber. In winter the vines are cut and the tuber stays inside dormant. The leaves start emerging again in April.
